In this skills-based session, you will walk through basic techniques for processing data to create bar and line graphs in Excel, practice using pivot tables and graphs features, and combine bar and line graphs into one figure.

This session is ideal for evaluators seeking to develop fundamental data visualization skills without using specialized software tools.

These techniques are also useful for data exploration. You will have the opportunity to practice using some of the basic principles of data visualization setup and polishing promoted by thought leaders in this space like Stephanie Evergreen and Ann K Emery.

This workshop will be facilitated by Annette Ghee who is a founding member of the  Seattle Evaluation Association. She is an independent evaluator and member of the faculty of the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington. Last quarter she taught an earlier version of this session in an M&E Methods for Global Health course offered to graduate students.

100% of the registration fees for this session will be re-invested in the events program at Seattle Evaluation Association.
